Indian Summer Day Camp - Registration is NOW OPEN for this popular program!
Indian Summer Day Camp is a week long program teaching kids, ages 9 through 13, Native American arts and life ways. Located at Moundville Archaeological Park, activities include museum and park tours, videos, storytelling, nature hikes, sampling Native American foods, and playing Native American games. Children create several crafts including pottery and baskets or gourd masks.
Session 1 – June 1 – 5, 2015
Session 2 – July 20 – 24, 2015
Where: Meet for van pick up at Smith Hall (6th Avenue, UA Campus) at 8:30 a.m. Or, meet us at Moundville Archaeological Park at 9:00 a.m. Afternoon pick up at Smith Hall is at 4:30 p.m. (4:00 p.m. at the park).
Cost (Covers All Materials, Transportation, and Snacks): $200.00 per child (museum members, $175.00 per child). Students need to bring their own sack lunch with drink and wear old clothes. Discounts available for multiple children.
