March 15: Mississippian Shell Carving
Dan Townsend is one of the Southeast's premiere shell carvers. One of our favorite artists, Dan connects traditional stories with the images he carves, most of which are reminiscent of prehistoric carvings. Kids can make their own bead from a shell and string it onto a necklace.
